When comes to writing a draft, I just jump right into it and start writing to see where my ideas are going to go. I would say that my favorite strategy would have to be free writing. I enjoy just being able to write and allowing my thoughts just come out even if they don’t make sense. I think that it allows for more creativity because you are just trying to get your thoughts down and there is really no correct order for it. For the first draft I tried the columns, which did help because I was able to organize my thoughts. After I had my thoughts organize I just wrote and saw where it took me. I think in order to have my thoughts organize and be able to make my point clear I would first use a column, but then when it comes to writing the actual draft I will just free write. I feel like free writing helps me to create new connects and see other perspectives about the writing that I would not have made otherwise. I think for this next paper I am going to stay with the columns when it comes to organizing my ideas and gathering information and quotes from the text. Then I think that I will just jump into the draft when I start writing it.
