Preparation for Licensure Adaptive ATI Pharmacology

Preparation for Licensure Adaptive ATI Pharmacology

This ATI was challenging for me, and my score was not the score I really wanted. There were some medications on this ATI that I did not recognize, so I just took a guess on those questions. I think what went for me was I was able to critically think my way through most questions. I applied the knowledge that I already had from pharmacology to be able to think my way through the questions. I was able to recognize most of the medications and the class that they were in to be able to choose the correct answers. Where I need improvement is in prioritizing what actions should be performed first. I did have some questions where the answer I chose was correct, but it wasn’t what the nurse should do first. Also, along with prioritizing I need to be able to prioritize what adverse effects of medications are going to be the most harmful to the patient. For the next ATI I need to focus on priorities and what action would benefit the patient the most. I think that going back and reviewing the ATI is helpful because it helps me realize where my thought process should go and how I should get there.
