Preparation for Licensure Adaptive Med-Surg ATI

While taking the Adaptive ATI there were questions that I felt really confident on and other questions that were a complete guess. I think what went well for me was the questions I felt confident on I did not second guess myself and was able to move on. I think because I did know quite a few questions I was able to complete the ATI within 75 questions. Looking back on the exam and remediating the topics there were some content areas that I was not strong on. One content area that stuck out to me was the musculoskeletal content. I had quite a few questions on hip fractures and Buck’s traction, so to improve on these areas I will make sure to go back and do practice questions. Another area that I can improve on is prioritizing signs and symptoms. There were some questions that listed out signs of infection and all the signs were right, but one sign was more of a priority than the others. I think that it is important to know what signs and symptoms are going to affect the patient the most.
